42nd Annual Friendsville Days
August 18-20
This fun event kicks off with the Flotilla Friday at 5:30PM. On Saturday, the parade starts at noon and is followed by lots of fun activities and live music. On Sunday, there is a community church service at 11AM.
2nd Annual Mountain Maryland Dragon Boat Festival
August 26, 9AM-4PM
Held at Broadford Park, this event is a fundraiser for the Dove Center. Amateur teams race dragon boats and compete for the championship. Enjoy the race and food vendors and artisans, music, and activities for the kids.
Garrett County Wings and Wheels Fly-in
August 26, 9AM-3PM
Head to the Garrett County Airport for this free event. See displays of airplanes, cars, trucks, motorcycles and more. Food is provided by Sweitzer’s BBQ.
Deep Creek Lake Art & Wine Festival
September 8-9
Tickets must be purchased in advance to attend the Premium Wine Tasting event Friday evening from 5-8PM. On Saturday from noon-6PM at the Garrett County Fairgrounds, there will be wine tasting, music, food artisans, a wine shop, artists, a cigar bar, and a football lounge along with activities for the kids.
