Deep Creek winter events make this a favorite season to visit the lake. The holidays are especially popular. Here’s a rundown of what’s happening at Deep Creek Lake in the coming weeks:
–MoonShadow, Accident, MD
New Year’s party with entertainment by Optimus Riff. A $20 ticket includes music, appetizer, dessert, and a champagne toast. 301.750.5094
–Wisp Resort
Celebrate with their house, DJ Jazzy Jan. Family friendly, there is no cover charge. The party begins at 8PM in the Main Lodge. Food and beverages (Including Alcohol) are available to purchase.
–Fur Ball 2016 Casino is at Dutch’s at Silver Tree
This benefit for HART for Animals starts at 6:30PM. It includes appetizers, a silent auction and games like poker, blackjack, and roulette.
NEW YEAR’S DAY
– Swallow Falls State Park
Take part in the First Day Hike. Suited for ages 8+, a ranger leads a 1 mile hike through the park. Call 301-334-9180 to register. The hike begins at 3PM.
EARLY JANUARY
–Stage Wisp Concert Series
Wisp’s FREE live music events kick-off Friday, January 6 and continue every Friday through the end of February from 6:30-9PM in Wispers Bar.
