Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations and Sales marked their tenth anniversary in 2018! This is a great company to work for, and I am proud to be a co-owner of the real estate division. In addition to celebrating ten years in business, we recently completed the addition of 4,500 square feet to our office!
Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations and Sales History
Taylor-Made was started in 2008 by Jodi Taylor Refosco, her husband Joe and her brother Chad Taylor. Jodi and Chad had years of experience in the vacation rental industry. They worked for their parents at Deep Creek’s largest rental company until they sold it in 2007. Joe has a strong background in hospitality and also worked for the elder Taylor’s and played a key role in developing their in-house laundry facility.
Doing everything from housekeeping to lawn care, they worked together to build the company from the ground up.
In 2014, they decided to expand beyond rentals. Jay Ferguson, a leading sales agent, joined the team as a co-owner of their new real estate division. I became a co-owner in late 2015. The growth and energy of the company made me want to be a part of the team. Also, I love the family atmosphere!
The acquisition of Long & Foster’s Deep Creek branch took place in August of 2016. Taylor-Made added over 100 rental homes as well as numerous sales agents.
Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations and Sales Today
Today, Taylor-Made is a leader in both Deep Creek Lake real estate and vacation rentals. With over 170 employees, we can offer our guests and clients the best possible service. Our sales team now numbers 43 agents many of whom have decades of experience in the area.
A key part of the company culture is a strong commitment to the community. We sponsor everything from local sports teams and school events to major festivals like Autumn Glory, Deep Creek Lake Art, Wine & Beer Festival and the Fire on the Mountain Fireworks. Twice a year our crew heads out to pick up litter on our four adopted roads as well. As residents of the area, it is important to us to give back.
In Conclusion
