Deep Creek early summer events are kicking off everyone’s favorite season with plenty of fun! There are tons of ways to enjoy the beautiful weather with family and friends. Many are old favorites, but there are some new options too!

Deep Creek Farmers Market – NEW
Fridays through September 2, 3-7PM
The area’s newest farmers market takes place at Garrett College every Friday. In addition to local produce, you can also find honey, pottery, and baked goods.
Accident 4th of July Parade

Bring the family to Accident for some small town Independence Day fun!
Fire on the Mountain Fireworks Display
Monday, July 4, About 9PM, McHenry
Fireworks launched from the top of the tubing hill at the Mountain Park at Wisp Resort out toward the waters of Deep Creek Lake. Viewing spots include the scenic overlook on Rt. 219, McHenry Cove on Deep Creek Lake and businesses in McHenry.
Wisp Resort will host a free Stage Wisp concert before the fireworks display from 6:30 pm-9:30 pm.
Rain date: July 5th. If there is inclement weather on July 4th, please check this page or tune your radio to our local stations and media partners, 104.5 WKHJ, 92.3 WKTQ, 95.9 WKTZ and 1050 WMSG radio, for live updates on the status of the fireworks.
Art in the Park
Saturday, July 9, 10AM-5PM and Sunday, July 10, 10AM-4PM
In its 22nd year, Art in the Park is held at Deep Creek Lake State Park. More than 50 vendors display their artwork. Food vendors are on site as well as kids interpretive events, tie dye, live animals and a kids art project sponsored by the Garrett Arts Council.
The Victorian Chatauqua
Saturday, July 9, 11AM-10PM, Mountain Lake Park
Historical performances, lectures, live music, vendors and artisans, food, trolley bus tours, and activities relive a bygone era that began as a planned community along the B&O Railroad. Don’t forget the little ones. Kid-Tauquau has a full schedule of programs and activities.
