Fall Fishing Deep Creek Lake Maryland. This year, fall fishing puts you in the pleasant “football weather” category in the 1st week of November here at the lake. The breeze gets a bit stiffer, the wind has a mild chill to it and the fishing bite lights up in its fall spender. The temperature has been a bit warmer than the past few years and you see a lot of boats late in the season trying to score a stringer full of delicious fish.
Check out http://www.fishdeepcreek.com/ for real time fishing reports, techniques and a message board that will keep you in the hunt for fresh fish.
Here is the latest report from the message board of 11/5/16-
Fished from 7 – 3 mainly on the north end with good results. Water temp was 51 at 7am and climbed to 56 at 2:30. Water was stained for the most part but the clearer water held the better fish.
Mainly SM were caught (11″ up to 15″) in the am on top water and the the afternoon was plastics fished very slow when fish were found.
1 Nice LM was caught under a dock on plastic. Caught 9 fish total and not a bad day on DCL. All fish were caught in 10-20 FOW.
Come join us over the next couple of weeks and wet a line before the lake starts its traditional freeze. Next fishing season is the popular ice fishing season which can be mega-productive!
